About RAP

The RAP Mission

In the spirit of building a Model Diverse Community, Roxbury Action Program, Inc. seeks to continue to improve the social and economic health of the Roxbury Community and particularly the Highland Park Neighborhood, promoting equity and inclusion for black and brown residents to ensure an active, vibrant and healthy community life.

At RAP, we believe that the followiing will help narrow the wealth gap between the black and brown population in this area:

  • establishing sustainable careers
  • home ownership and affordable housing
  • strengthening family structures through education and credit building practices
  • positive involvement in the political systems .

Further, that the social, economic and educational facets of a community are as important to the health of the community as housing. To that end, RAP has developed many social service programs over the years, and has currently embarked on a project to rennovate a historic property with the goal of creating a hub for social programs and community development and offices for RAP and other local non-profits.
